Bundled with the Legacy subscription

Once you claim your Legacy subscription on the left, your bonus coin balance will show up on the Profile and Billing pages. The grant fires once per account.

What are bonus coins?

Bonus coins are a separate, restricted-purpose coin balance shown next to your regular coin balance on the Profile and Billing pages. They exist so legacy broadcasters can rebuild a station on vidstations.tv without spending their own money up front. Because they weren't paid for in the normal way, they can only be spent on things that benefit your own station — never transferred or used to influence the broader economy.

What you can spend bonus coins on

  • Activating add-ons on a station you own (first-month and recurring monthly charges).
  • AI Station Background Creation for your station's gallery — capped at 3 rounds (15 coins) lifetime per account. After the cap, background creation falls back to your regular coin balance.

What you cannot spend bonus coins on

  • Tipping other users or stations.
  • Paid hypes or promoting videos.
  • Jukebox song requests on other stations.
  • Transferring, gifting, or cashing out.

Whenever you make an eligible purchase, bonus coins are spent first; your regular coin balance only kicks in after the bonus pile runs out (or, for AI Station Background Creation, after the 3-round cap is reached). Once the bonus pile is empty, you'll start purchasing coins like everyone else.

Bring your playvj playlist over

You don't have to rebuild your station's playlist from scratch. Playvj's playlist manager can export your tracks to a CSV file, and vidstations.tv's playlist manager can import that exact file directly.

  1. 1

Back up each playlist on playvj

On playvj, open the Station Playlists page (the playlist manager). For each playlist you want to migrate:

    • Pick it from the Select a Playlist dropdown so it loads.
    • In the toolbar, click the file-icon button () — hover it to confirm the tooltip reads "Backup to CSV". Your browser will download <playlist-name>.csv.
    • Save each file somewhere you can find it (e.g. your Documents folder).
  2. 2

Create a new blank list on vidstations.tv

After claiming Legacy and creating your station, head to the Playlist Manager and click New List () at the top right. Give it a name and select the station you just created.

  3. 3

    Import the playvj backup

With the new list loaded in a pane, click the CSV button () in the toolbar, choose Import from CSV, and pick the file you saved in step 1. Track titles and YouTube IDs come across immediately; durations are backfilled in the background. Click Save when you're happy with the result.

Repeat for each playlist. The playvj backup file uses two columns — VideoID and videoName — which the vidstations.tv importer reads directly. No conversion needed.
