Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
The vidstations.tv website, the VidStations app on Google Play, and the VidStations app on the Apple App Store (together, the "Service") are operated by GREATDECADES LLC. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to GREATDECADES LLC. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service, and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account or sign in using a third-party provider, we collect:
- Display name and email address
- Profile photo URL (from social providers, if provided)
- Authentication provider identifier (Apple, Google, Facebook, X/Twitter, or email/password)
- A unique user ID assigned by Firebase Authentication
If you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us your name and email address only if you choose to share them. You can choose Hide My Email, in which case we receive and store an Apple private relay address instead of your real email address. We use that address only as described in this policy.
Content You Provide
- Chat messages you send (stored with your user ID and display name)
- Profile photo or avatar you choose or create, and the display name you set
- Stations, playlists, and settings you create
- Messages and reports you send through our contact form or the in-chat report tool
- Text prompts you enter into AI-powered features (for example, AI avatar generation or the help assistant)
Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including:
- Pages visited and features used
- Stations watched and approximate watch time
- Votes, hypes, and other interactions
- Device type, browser or app type, and general location (country/region via IP address)
- Identifiers used for analytics, such as a Google Analytics client ID
Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan on the website, payment is processed by Stripe. If you subscribe in the Android app, payment is processed by Google Play. We do not store your credit card number or payment details. We receive a Stripe Customer ID or Google Play purchase token and subscription status, which we use to manage your access level. Purchases are not available in the iOS app.
2. Mobile Apps (Android and iOS)
Android / Google Play
The VidStations app on Google Play (package tv.vidstations.android) is a Trusted Web Activity that displays the same Service as vidstations.tv. This Privacy Policy applies to both the website and the Android app. The Android wrapper does not collect additional personal data beyond what this policy already describes.
The Android app does not use the Android Advertising ID. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise GPS location. Approximate country or region from your IP address still applies, as it does on the website. Push notification delegation is not enabled.
iOS / Apple App Store
The VidStations app on the Apple App Store (bundle ID tv.vidstations.ios) displays the same Service as vidstations.tv inside a native iOS app. This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS app. The iOS app does not collect additional personal data beyond what this policy already describes.
- Sign in with Apple, Google, Facebook, and X. These sign-in options send the account details described in section 1 to us. The Google option uses the Google Sign-In SDK.
- No tracking across other companies' apps and websites. The iOS app does not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not show third-party advertising, and does not load the Meta Pixel. For that reason it does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Analytics. The iOS app uses Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used (see section 4). This data is linked to a random analytics identifier and may be linked to your user ID when you are signed in.
- Permissions. The iOS app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location, and does not use push notifications.
You can delete your account from inside the apps: open the Profile page and choose Delete Account. See section 5 for what is deleted. You can also request deletion through our contact form.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To manage your account and subscription
- To personalise your experience (favourite stations, preferences)
- To display your display name and avatar in chat and community features
- To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset, billing receipts)
- To monitor and improve the Service through analytics
- To keep the Service safe: moderating chat, handling user reports, and enforcing our Terms of Service and community guidelines
- To prevent fraud and abuse
- On the website only, to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising (see section 4)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to track you across other companies' apps or websites in the iOS app.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, App Check, Hosting) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics — Collect usage data such as pages and screens viewed, features used, and device and app information, using an analytics identifier. policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Gemini and Imagen (AI features) — Some features send your chat messages or the text you submit to Google's AI services, for example to moderate chat, answer questions through the station chatbot or help assistant, or generate an AI avatar. We do not send your email address to these services.
- YouTube — Vidstations.tv uses YouTube API Services. By using the Service, you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. For more information on how Google manages your data, please see the Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple (Sign in with Apple) — If you sign in with Apple, Apple authenticates you and shares your name and email (or a private relay address) with us. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In — If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
- Meta (Facebook Login) — If you sign in with Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Meta. See Meta's Data Policy.
- Meta Pixel (website only) — On the vidstations.tv website, we use the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The Pixel sends Meta information about your visit, such as the pages you view and key actions like signing up or starting checkout, together with browser identifiers. The Meta Pixel is not loaded in the iOS app. You can control ad personalisation in your Meta ad settings.
- X / Twitter — If you sign in with X, we receive your display name and profile photo. See X's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — Processes payments for paid subscriptions on the website. stripe.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing — Processes subscriptions bought in the Android app.
- GIF and avatar providers — When you search for or choose a GIF or avatar image, your search text or selection is sent to the provider that serves the image.
We do not sell your personal information to these providers. They act on our behalf or under their own policies as described above.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Chat messages are retained for up to 90 days.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from your Profile page (website, Android app, and iOS app) using the Delete Account option. You may also request deletion assistance through our contact form.
When you delete your account, we:
- Delete your profile and the content you own, such as your stations, playlists, and settings
- Cancel any active paid subscription on the website
- Remove your sign-in account from Firebase Authentication
- Anonymise reports you filed so that they are no longer linked to you
- Replace your display name with "*account removed*", remove your avatar, and replace your user ID with a generic placeholder on the chat messages, reactions, and station wall posts you made on other people's stations
We may keep the following after deletion:
- A minimal deletion record (your user ID, email address, payment customer ID, and the date of deletion) that we use to prevent fraud and ban evasion, handle billing disputes, and meet legal and tax obligations
- Payment records held by Stripe, Google Play, or Apple, which keep them under their own policies
- The text of chat messages and station wall posts you made on other people's stations. They no longer show your name, avatar, or user ID. A message may still contain personal details you typed into it, or another user's reply may still mention your name
- Records of moderation actions and reports about content or accounts that violated our rules
If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account in the iOS app asks you to confirm with Apple and revokes VidStations' Sign in with Apple access. You can also stop sharing your Apple ID with VidStations at any time in iPhone Settings > your name > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple.
We cache certain YouTube API data (such as video titles and durations) to improve service performance. This data is refreshed periodically and is not associated with your personal identity.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (light/dark). Firebase Authentication uses cookies and local storage to maintain your session. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. On the website, the Meta Pixel uses cookies to measure advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly. The iOS app stores the same kinds of data inside the app. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please use our contact form and we will delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (or self-delete from the Profile page)
- Object to or restrict processing of your data

The Meta Pixel on our website may count as "sharing" under California law; you can limit it using your browser's privacy controls and your Meta ad settings, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests (security, moderation, and improving the Service), to meet legal obligations, and, where required, with your consent. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
